Program Settings Gets a Facelift
We've changed the layout to our Program Settings page to make it easier for you to find all of the information that you need. The page has been broken up into the following sections:
Program Details – general information, such as a description of your program and its requirements, name and logo, and award details
Program Status & Deadlines – make your application active/inactive and set deadlines for applicants, recommenders, and evaluators
Contact Information & Social Media – ways that your potential applicants can contact you and/or learn more about your organization
Common Application & Matching – indicate that this program uses or is the basis for a common application Options & Customization - a series of features that you can toggle on and off in order to customize your SmarterSelect experience
New Information on the Provider Settings Page
We've also given our Provider Settings page an overhaul, making it neater and easier to navigate. The new and improved Provider Settings page is broken into:
Organization Information – organization name and the defaults you've set (what shows is you don't specify information, like the logo for each program
Subscription & Billing Information – the date that your SmarterSelect account was opened, along with your current subscription plan
Contact Information – the go-to information for all your users. Remember to complete this and keep it up-to-date, as it also ensures that all of the automated emails that SmarterSelect sends on behalf of your organization (interview requests, information requests) meet the regulations set forth by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.
Save Time with Our Newest Feature: Duplicate Question/Section/Page/Request
SmarterSelect has implemented a new feature that is sure to save you a lot of time. Welcome to the new “Duplicate” feature, which will allow you to duplicate a portion of the application, whether it be a page, section, question, or information request. Cut down on the time that it takes to accommodate extra answers by creating extra copies of a question or facilitating your organization's entire application by having multiple information requests-- now you can create an exact duplicate at the press of a button! In the upper right hand corner of the various portions of the application, you will see a small icon that looks like two pieces of paper (the “copy” icon that you've likely seen in other applications). Clicking on this button will create an extra copy of the item on which you're working. If you're currently editing a page and press the “duplicate” button, for instance, you will see an extra page with the same name appear in the tree immediately following the page you were working on. The same applies to sections, questions, and information requests!
Improving for you: Delete Question/Section/Page/Request
In addition to allowing our admins to duplicate parts of the application, we've also tweaked the “delete” function at all of the different application levels. You can now delete application portions via the small trashcan icon (to the right of the new duplicate icon) in the upper right of the page/section/question/request that you're working on.
